Control & Instrumentation Manager – Ash Handling & Water Systems

About the role

The Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Manager will ensure continuous availability and reliability of C&I systems for the Ash Handling Plant (AHP) and water treatment circuits. This position leads field instrumentation activities, oversees maintenance, and drives technical excellence across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Field Instrumentation Engineer for AHP and water circuit (BoP).
• Maintain continuous availability and reliability of C&I systems, including analysers.
• Plan and execute regular maintenance and PLC backups to prevent downtime.
• Coordinate calibration of weighbridges and road weighbridges to meet regulatory standards.
• Manage contract manpower for on‑field maintenance and provide support for RCA, FMEA, and Zero Forced Outage (ZFO) analyses.
• Implement Management of Change (MoC) protocols for safe equipment modifications.
• Prepare budget requirements, manage spares inventory, and develop indigenous spares.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and as‑built drawings.
• Develop skills of contract supervisors and technicians through knowledge sharing.
• Ensure safety of personnel and equipment through rigorous training and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing C&I systems in industrial or power‑generation environments.
• Strong leadership skills to coordinate field teams and contract personnel.
• Ability to handle budgeting, inventory control, and documentation management.
• Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement.
