Contract Carpenter – Onsite in Chennai

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter on a contract basis to join our on‑site team in Chennai. The role involves delivering high‑quality wood structures, from framing to finish carpentry, while adhering to project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform framing, finish carpentry, and installation of wooden components on construction sites.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools according to blueprints.
• Interpret design layouts and ensure precise execution of specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following company safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to meet project timelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry, including both framing and finish work.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints or design layouts.
• Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow established procedures.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Formal carpentry training or relevant construction experience is a plus.
