Consultant – Health Economics & Financing

About the role

PATH is seeking a dynamic Consultant in Health Economics & Financing to strengthen its ability to mobilize resources, shape markets, and develop sustainable financing models for health programs in India. The role will work cross‑functionally with technical teams, donors, governments, and private‑sector partners to generate economic evidence and innovative financing approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead economic evaluations such as cost‑effectiveness, cost‑benefit, ROI, budget impact, affordability, and costing analyses across projects.
• Develop investment cases that demonstrate the value proposition of health interventions for governments, donors, and investors.
• Integrate health economics into program design by collaborating with disease‑specific technical teams.
• Assess market opportunities and financing gaps, and support proposal development with robust economic analyses and sustainability plans.
• Engage with governments, multilateral agencies, philanthropic organizations, academia, financial institutions, and private‑sector partners to advance financing discussions.
• Produce publications, policy briefs, donor reports, technical papers, and thought‑leadership content.
• Monitor emerging trends in global health financing and innovative financing mechanisms.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Health Economics, Economics, Public Health, Health Policy, Health Financing, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience conducting health‑economic analyses and developing financing strategies.
