Consultant – Direct Tax (USI Firm Tax) – Hyderabad

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant in Direct Tax to join Deloitte’s US India Firms Tax team in Hyderabad. The role involves handling corporate and international tax compliance, preparing returns, and supporting tax audits for Deloitte US India entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file income tax returns, including Form 26AS and AIS reconciliation.
• Handle TDS payments, monthly filings and quarterly returns.
• Prepare supporting work papers and general account schedules for tax returns.
• Complete Form 3CD and ensure compliance with all its clauses.
• Draft tax responses, submissions and represent Deloitte before tax authorities.
• Assist with tax audits and data compliance for tax assessments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Indian income tax law and international tax regulations.

Required profile

• CS/CMA/CA Inter or LLB qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably with a Big 4 or large MNC.
• Experience in mid‑to‑large CA firms handling corporate tax matters.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a dynamic team.
• Strong communication and drafting abilities, with a professional demeanor.
