Concrete Finisher – Lagoon Amusement Park

About the role

The Concrete Finisher works on the construction, repair and maintenance of Lagoon’s park structures, including rides, walkways, foundations and other attractions. The role involves all stages of concrete work, from site preparation to finishing, while supporting broader construction tasks in a safety‑focused, guest‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare job sites by demolishing, grading, compacting, building forms and laying out concrete work.
• Mix, pour, place and finish concrete for footings, flatwork, curbs, pads, structural elements and attraction projects.
• Operate hand and power tools such as screeds, floats, trowels, edgers, grinders and saws to achieve required textures and slopes.
• Set forms, rebar, mesh and reinforcement systems to industry and Lagoon standards.
• Perform concrete repairs, patching, joint work, sealing, grinding and decorative finishing.
• Assist with construction equipment including skid steers, trenchers, concrete saws, compactors and mixers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow Lagoon safety guidelines, using required PPE.
• Support additional park construction projects such as carpentry, fencing, site prep and general labor.
• Communicate progress, material needs and safety concerns to supervisors and move materials throughout the park.

Required profile

• Prior experience in concrete or masonry work is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of concrete mixing, placement, finishing, curing and repair methods.
• Ability to read measurements, follow layouts and understand basic construction plans.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in an amusement‑park environment.
