Commis I – Kitchen Assistant (Indian Cuisine)

About the role

Join Hilton’s Hotels team as a Commis I and help create memorable guest experiences through exceptional food preparation. Working under senior chefs, you will contribute to the high standards of hospitality that define the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Execute complex recipes, oversee stations, and perform quality control.
• Inspect plates before service to guarantee presentation and taste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace following food‑handling protocols.
• Prepare requisitions and manage inventory of supplies and food items.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and a commitment to Hilton’s core values.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a cook or trainee in a 5‑star hotel or high‑standard restaurant.
• Basic knowledge of Western or Chinese cuisine.
• Ability to stay calm and solve problems under pressure.
• Comfortable working in hot, humid, and noisy kitchen environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures and hygiene standards.
