Commis 2 – Pan Asian

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis 2 to join our culinary team at an Accor‑affiliated hotel in Visakhapatnam. You will work side‑by‑side with experienced chefs to prepare authentic Pan‑Asian dishes while developing your culinary skills in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Pan‑Asian dishes following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist senior chefs with chopping, slicing, marinating and other food‑preparation tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation and adhere to food‑safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage mise en place efficiently to ensure smooth service periods.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as woks and specialised Asian cooking apparatus safely.
• Support the kitchen brigade, respond promptly to instructions, and monitor stock levels.
• Contribute ideas for new Pan‑Asian menu items under guidance.
• Uphold time‑keeping standards and assist with overall kitchen cleaning and maintenance.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Pan‑Asian cooking techniques covering Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean and Malaysian cuisines.
• Strong knife skills and precise food‑preparation abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management capabilities in a high‑pressure kitchen.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items safely.
• Desirable experience as a Commis Chef or similar kitchen role.
