Circle Merchant Manager

About the role

The Circle Merchant Manager is responsible for driving merchant acquisition, activation, and growth within a defined geographic circle. This role ensures the brand’s visibility in the marketplace and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to meet business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new merchants (both small and large format retail) across the assigned circle.
• Activate merchants and ensure they are fully operational and visible in the marketplace.
• Support cross‑functional teams such as marketing, MIS, and sales to provide necessary resources for merchant growth.
• Plan and execute strategies to meet targets for merchant acquisition, activation, unique customers, and transaction throughput.
• Train, develop, and mentor a team of team leads and merchant executives.
• Maintain regular updates to management on competitive landscape and devise winning strategies.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the local geography to effectively deploy resources.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
• Excellent coordination skills with multiple internal functions.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a focus on meeting acquisition and activation targets.
