Chip Architect (SoC)

About the role

An experienced IC Architect defines and delivers systems-on-chip (SoC) architectures for next-generation products. The role translates product requirements into a robust architecture that balances performance, power, area and cost, leads architecture definition, guides design teams and ensures successful tape-out and production.

Key responsibilities

• Architect the overall IC structure, including digital, analog and mixed-signal blocks (with the analog IC architect) and the test strategy
• Convert high-level product specifications into detailed technical requirements for design teams
• Balance performance, power, area and cost trade-offs to meet product goals
• Work with product managers, software architects and customers to clarify requirements, and with project managers on resources, schedules and milestones
• Mentor and guide design engineers and sub-system architects through development and implementation
• Define technical interfaces and align with external suppliers
• Support structured project execution and keep local and remote teams informed
• Drive end-to-end chip delivery, from concept and specification through tape-out to qualification and production
