Chief Physician & Clinical Lead

About the role

International SOS is seeking an experienced senior physician to lead clinical operations at its Mumbai clinic. As Chief Physician & Clinical Lead you will provide medical leadership, ensure clinical governance, and deliver high‑quality primary care while driving innovation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and patient safety.
• Oversee all clinical governance activities, ensuring compliance with International SOS standards and local regulations.
• Manage clinical incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver primary healthcare services, including urgent and emergency presentations, and coordinate referrals to specialist care.
• Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
• Lead clinical audits, patient outcome reviews and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Direct occupational health programmes such as pre‑employment assessments, health surveillance, fitness‑for‑duty and return‑to‑work evaluations.
• Plan and execute emergency preparedness drills and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Partner with clinic management to optimise operations, drive innovation and achieve annual KPIs.
• Engage with clients to ensure service delivery meets expectations.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor with extensive experience in family medicine or a comparable primary‑care specialty.
• Proven senior leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong commitment to patient care, quality improvement and team development.
• Familiarity with clinical governance, occupational health and emergency preparedness.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Experience conducting clinical audits and quality‑improvement projects.
