Emergency Medical Officer (EMO) – Full-time

About the role

The Emergency Medical Officer (EMO) provides urgent medical care in the emergency department, assessing, stabilising and treating patients with critical conditions. The role demands rapid decision‑making, strong clinical expertise and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and prioritise patients based on severity and provide immediate stabilisation.
• Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, CPR and medication administration.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure timely, appropriate care.
• Order, interpret and act on diagnostic tests to guide treatment.
• Document patient history, current condition and treatments accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff while adhering to clinical protocols.
• Participate in training, quality‑improvement initiatives and research activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical licence to practice as an Emergency Medical Officer.
• Residency training in Emergency Medicine or a related field.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Proven experience in an emergency department or urgent‑care setting.
• Strong clinical judgement, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and respond to emergency calls.
