Chef de Partie – Bakery

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City is opening its first neighbourhood hotel in Asia in the city centre in 2026, with 149 bedrooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, and a rooftop pool and bar. It is looking for a confident, hands-on Chef de Partie to join the opening kitchen team and take ownership of the bakery section, keeping service smooth, food consistent and the team supported.

Key responsibilities

• Run the section during preparation and service, keeping it ready, organised and on time.
• Prepare and present dishes to the agreed recipes and standards, maintaining quality and consistency.
• Check stock, ingredients and equipment before service and flag issues early.
• Manage rotation, storage, requisitions, portions and waste on the section.
• Keep food safety, hygiene, allergen and HACCP standards in place every shift.
• Guide Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs, helping them learn the section and build confidence.
• Work closely with the Sous Chef and front-of-house team so service flows smoothly.
• Support specials, menu development and events, and look after equipment and cleanliness.

Required profile

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready for the next step.
• Ability to organise and run a section in a busy professional kitchen.
• Understanding of food safety, allergens, hygiene and HACCP procedures.
• Reliable, calm and able to coach junior chefs without ego.
• A culinary qualification is useful, but practical experience and the right attitude matter most.
