Chartered Accountant – Direct & Indirect Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant specializing in Direct & Indirect Taxation to join our team. The role involves researching global tax regulations, reviewing compliance tasks, and supporting large entities' tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax laws globally (Income Tax, GST, VAT, etc.).
• Write processes for data collation, report preparation, and verification of tax workings.
• Review tax calculations and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual provisions.
• Respond to audit queries, assessments, and prepare related checklists.
• Prepare, process, and maintain documentation throughout the taxation cycle, including filing returns.
• Stay updated on tax law changes through continuous research.
• Coordinate with finance and internal teams, organize meetings, and support process improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with specialization in Direct and Indirect Taxation.
• 1-3 years of experience in taxation and finance consulting.
• In-depth knowledge of Income Tax Act, GST laws, and global compliance (preferred).
• Experience handling tax audits, assessments, and litigation matters.
• Excellent communication and client‑handling skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems: Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics.
• Tax compliance software and financial tools.
