Cashier (Branch Banking) – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the efficient functioning of the branch by handling cash, cheques, drafts, and other instruments while delivering superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash transactions, cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Maintain and reconcile daily cash registers, petty cash, and assets registers; prepare end‑of‑day reports.
• Manage the branch vault jointly with the Operations Officer, ensuring safe custody of cash and valuables.
• Interact with customers, address queries, cross‑sell products, and educate them on alternate banking channels.
• Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, internal policies, and defined turnaround times for transactions.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify deposit slip accuracy.
