Capital Markets Associate – Real Estate

About the role

We’re hiring an Associate to structure and execute debt for our US real estate portfolio – construction, bridge, and permanent financing across multifamily, commercial, and ground‑up development. This role involves underwriting, structuring, and negotiating real loans against real collateral, not modeling hypotheticals.

Key responsibilities

• Deal structuring & execution: underwrite and structure construction, bridge, and mezzanine financing for specific US assets.
• Capital modeling: build models that drive decisions, including DSCR, LTV, LTC, IRR, debt yield, and stress‑test against rate moves and project delays.
• Capital stack strategy: recommend funding approaches that balance cost of capital, risk, and timeline.
• Lender relations & syndication: act as primary contact for US lenders and institutional partners, manage diligence and close facilities.
• Portfolio surveillance: monitor the debt maturity ladder and ensure covenants such as DSCR, LTV, and LTC remain compliant.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in real‑estate capital markets, private equity, CRE lending, or real‑estate investment banking.
• Ability to walk through a specific US commercial real‑estate deal in detail, including structure and numbers.
• Mastery of Excel and Google Sheets, with VBA or Power Query a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of US credit agreements, loan documentation, and institutional underwriting standards.
• Capacity to turn dense underwriting into a concise executive memo and maintain a minimum 6‑hour daily overlap with US Central Time.
