Buying Professional – Strategic Procurement

About the role

Siemens is looking for a Buying Professional to support strategic procurement of materials and services for its smart infrastructure portfolio. The role involves managing RFQs, ensuring timely delivery, and collaborating with engineering and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage RFQs, eSourcing tools (eRFQ, eBidding, eAuction) and ensure timely procurement.
• Maintain procurement records, compliance, and MIS reporting.
• Conduct offer assessment, negotiations and techno‑commercial evaluation.
• Support presales for domestic and export projects, including white‑elephant initiatives.
• Finalize rate contracts for panel‑related equipment.
• Develop short‑ and long‑term commodity strategies.
• Support supplier capacity mapping, risk assessments, audits and quality improvements.
• Drive cost‑reduction projects and work within Siemens processes and DOA.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in strategic procurement.
• University degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with SAP, supply‑chain management and analytical tools.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
