Business Analyst – Capital Markets (IB Domain)

About the role

Capco is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join its Capital Markets/Investment Banking practice in India. You will work on transformation projects for leading banks and financial institutions, bridging business needs with technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, understanding deliverables for each.
• Provide deep knowledge of trade lifecycle, global regulations, and investment‑banking processes.
• Manage project stakeholders and act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Gather, analyse, and document functional and business requirements, producing detailed specification documents.
• Define testing objectives and coordinate with testing teams to ensure quality delivery.
• Support trade processing, regulatory reporting, collateral management, and derivatives operations as needed.

Required profile

• 6‑12 years of experience as a Business Analyst within an investment bank or capital‑markets environment.
• Proven experience with Agile methodology and related tools.
• Domain expertise in at least one area such as trade processing, SDLC, regulatory reporting, or derivatives operations.
• Strong critical‑thinking ability to anticipate issues and lead stakeholder elicitation sessions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
