Billing Engineer – Civil (Construction)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Engineer specialized in civil construction to manage all aspects of project billing, quantity estimation, and commercial documentation for building projects in Vellore and Chennai. The role requires strong knowledge of civil activities, quantity surveying, and client/sub‑contractor billing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit client, RA, and subcontractor bills based on site measurements and actual progress.
• Take measurements, create Measurement Sheets and Bills of Quantities, and verify quantities against approved drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and rate analysis for various civil works.
• Coordinate with Project, Planning, QS, Commercial, and Site Execution teams to gather billing requirements.
• Check and verify subcontractor bills, work measurements, and supporting documents.
• Maintain records of measurements, work orders, BOQ, billing statements, and reconciliation.
• Monitor variations, extra items, and deviations from the approved BOQ.
• Assist in material and quantity reconciliation and coordinate with consultants and clients for measurement verification.
• Track submitted, certified, and outstanding bills and provide regular billing status reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in billing or quantity surveying on building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction activities, BOQ, rate analysis, and measurement processes.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Preference for Tamil‑speaking candidates and those who can join on short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with billing software or ERP systems.
