Barista

About the role

The Barista will work on‑site at an Orion Group Of Hotels property, preparing and serving a range of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages to guests. This full‑time position involves maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and guest service in a busy café environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present coffee, tea and other beverages according to hotel standards.
• Operate coffee equipment and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, handling cash and digital payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the coffee station, following food safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of beverages, supplies and assist with stock replenishment.
• Greet guests, take orders, process payments and provide recommendations.
• Support the broader food and beverage team during peak periods and assist with event set‑up when required.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and food safety.
• Team‑oriented, reliable and positive attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in hospitality or food & beverage is a plus.
