About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Python expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will work closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, product managers, and QA to deliver reliable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Python backend applications and microservices.
Build and document RESTful APIs and, optionally, GraphQL endpoints.
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of services.
Integrate third‑party APIs and external services.
Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2.0).
Collaborate with frontend teams for seamless API integration.
Work with DevOps to set up CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments.
Design, tune, and maintain relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch) databases.
Write automated unit, integration, and API tests using PyTest.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2–5 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and scalable system design.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies.
Familiarity with version control and CI/CD workflows.
