Associate Manager – Projects (PMCG)

About the role

The Associate Manager – Projects (PMCG) will lead the planning, execution, and control of large‑scale thermal power projects. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are met while coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced project management software.
• Lead budgeting, track expenditures, forecast financial needs, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, establishing contingency plans.
• Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, procurement, construction teams, and external contractors.
• Implement KPIs and project control metrics, providing regular progress updates and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with quality teams to ensure deliverables meet industry standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist in contract review, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, support audits, and promote adoption of cutting‑edge project management tools.

Required profile

• 10–16 years of proven success in project management and control within the thermal power industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with advanced project management software (e.g., scheduling and control tools).
