Assistant Manager – Store Inventory (Operations)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Store Inventory (Operations) will lead inventory reconciliation across assigned business channels and locations, ensuring accurate stock records and supporting finance and logistics functions.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage inventory reconciliation for assigned channels and locations.
• Investigate discrepancies in stock movements, transactions, and accounting records.
• Reconcile inventory held with third‑party marketplaces and logistics service providers.
• Handle inventory‑related logistics, damage and loss claims until resolution.
• Coordinate physical stock verification and close inventory variances promptly.
• Provide accurate reconciliation schedules and documentation to support audits.
• Monitor insurance claims for inventory losses and ensure timely recovery.
• Review ageing reports and drive timely closure with cross‑functional teams.
• Analyze recurring inventory issues and recommend sustainable process improvements.
• Support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in inventory control or related finance functions.
• Educational background: B.Com, M.Com, MBA in Finance or CA Inter (preferred).
• Strong ownership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
