Assistant Manager - Room Sales

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Room Sales drives room revenue by identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and building long‑term client relationships. Working closely with Revenue Management, Reservations and Operations, the role aims to achieve sales targets while maximizing occupancy and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Drive proactive room sales through business development, lead generation, and client acquisition.
• Manage corporate, travel trade, and leisure accounts to achieve room revenue targets.
• Conduct sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and hotel site inspections.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely follow‑up on business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Reservations to optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and account growth.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify new revenue opportunities.
• Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and sales promotions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in Room Sales, Corporate Sales, or Hotel Sales, preferably in an upscale or luxury hotel environment.
• Strong proactive sales, business development, and account management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of revenue management principles.
