Assistant Manager - Risk Containment Unit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Risk Containment Unit will support daily fraud monitoring, investigation and reporting for Bajaj Finance Ltd in Amritsar, with the objective of achieving zero fraud exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytics on suspect transactions and report findings to senior management within defined timelines.
• Investigate fraud/dispute cases, conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze direct fraud trends and implement actions to limit risk.
• Own the central RCU shop end‑to‑end, ensuring fraud loss metrics meet management targets.
• Manage field fraud processes in coordination with rural and urban RCU teams, ensuring case closure within TAT and high‑quality investigation reports.
• Review and track location visits by RCU managers and support field teams with triggers from central monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement of RCU processes, increase fraud catch rate, and oversee automation projects.
• Maintain error‑free dashboards and circulate them within defined periods.
• Propose location‑wise credit policy changes and ensure timely reporting of suspected fraud before loan disbursal.

Required profile

• Experience in fraud monitoring, investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to produce and interpret data reports and dashboards.
• Strong coordination skills with field teams and other internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of risk policies and credit procedures.
