Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax (Bangalore)

About the role

BDO India is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Indirect Tax practice in Bangalore. The role involves delivering GST and other indirect tax advisory, compliance, and restructuring services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engagements related to GST, Customs, FTP and SEZ compliance, including appeals and tax restructuring.
• Provide tax advisory and consulting services on indirect tax matters.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain approvals, registrations and other statutory requirements.
• Analyze and interpret provisions under the GST Act, Customs Act and related rules.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing client relationships.

Required profile

• 2.6 – 4.6 years of relevant experience in indirect tax, GST and customs.
• CA Core qualification with a focus on Indirect Tax.
• Ability to understand client issues, ask pertinent questions and gather necessary information.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to build rapport with client management.
