Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage leads the day‑to‑day dining operations across all outlets of The Postcard Hotel, ensuring seamless service, guest delight and profitability. This role combines strong operational expertise with leadership and commercial awareness to deliver personalised luxury experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily F&B operations across restaurants, bar, in‑room dining and other service areas.
• Maintain and elevate service standards that reflect genuine luxury and personalised guest care.
• Lead, coach and supervise service teams, ensuring discipline, grooming and high readiness.
• Coordinate closely with the culinary team to guarantee efficient service flow and consistent dining experiences.
• Manage table setups, reservations, guest preferences and special requests across all outlets.
• Drive training programmes on service techniques, etiquette, product knowledge and brand standards.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery, delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
• Monitor inventory, requisitions, wastage and cost‑control measures to optimise profitability.
• Plan and execute special events, private dining and curated guest experiences.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in luxury hotels or fine‑dining environments with supervisory responsibilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, confident with discerning guests.
• Strong understanding of F&B operations, service styles and commercial aspects of the business.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate teams with elegance, discipline and calm under pressure.
• Impeccable grooming, attention to detail and refined service behaviour.
