Assistant Manager – Air Operations

About the role

As an Assistant Manager, Air Operations you will ensure smooth and timely air freight movements for Flexport’s customers, coordinating with airlines, trucking partners, terminals and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive bookings, contact shippers/consignees and agents, and arrange shipments according to SOPs.
• Create and manage air waybills (MAWB, HAWB), file AMS or submit EDI (FHL/FWB) as required.
• Process timely invoicing for clients and verify subcontractor invoices.
• Provide customer service by handling inquiries, claims and feedback, and escalating irregularities to senior management.
• Maintain system data accuracy, support KPI tracking and generate reports.
• Collaborate with account managers and customs teams to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in air operations or freight forwarding.
• IATA certification.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Detail‑oriented, structured and eager to learn global supply chain processes.
