Assistant Manager, Ocean Operations (Gurugram)

About the role

Flexport is looking for an Assistant Manager to lead Ocean Operations in the Gurugram region. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end shipment movement, ensuring on‑time delivery and high‑quality service for our customers. The role combines operational coordination with problem‑solving to continuously improve the supply‑chain experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure shipments move on‑time and handle exceptions according to Flexport quality standards.
• Meet internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
• Follow standard operating procedures and quickly resolve client issues at origin and destination.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day logistics with ocean carriers, cartage partners, customs, and warehouses.
• Execute the end‑to‑end movement of freight within the regional network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in global forwarding or related logistics functions.
• At least 4 years of experience in Ocean Freight, import compliance, or warehousing.
• Strong critical‑thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
