Assistant Foreman – Electrical

About the role

The Assistant Foreman – Electrical supports the maintenance team in ensuring reliable operation of electrical equipment across the plant. The role focuses on preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of generators, transformers, motor control centres (MCC) and power control centres (PCC).

Key responsibilities

• Implement work instructions, SOPs, check‑lists and equipment history sheets.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance activities for the assigned area, following preventive maintenance plans for motors, MCC and PCC.
• Perform daily routine checks, supervise maintenance jobs and troubleshoot DG, transformer, MCC and PCC issues.
• Manage spare‑part indenting, coordinate with the purchase department and inspect incoming material.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives such as WCM, Six Sigma, TPM and the Sankalp Scheme.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and plant safety requirements.

Required profile

• ITI – Electrical qualification.
• 5 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Maintenance of alternators, transformers, motors and protection relays.
• Operation and troubleshooting of diesel generators (DG), MCC and PCC.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with WCM, Six Sigma and TPM methodologies.
