Assistant Accountant (APR)

About the role

Take part in finance operations to ensure all financial processes are efficient, organized and under control. Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes to deliver accurate and timely financial data for local and group reporting purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Handle payments and receipts, prepare related journal entries and bank payments.
• Act as the primary finance contact for reconciliation and settlement of income and expenses with internal and external parties.
• Work with business owners to resolve differences during reconciliations.
• Manage credit control to ensure outstanding balances are settled promptly.
• Prepare monthly accounting schedules, ageing reports, reconciliations and other reports.
• Participate in initiatives to improve control and efficiency of financial processes and handle ad‑hoc assignments.

Required profile

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Recognized accounting qualification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA).
• Minimum 3 + years of experience in finance/accounting.
• Experience in a Big 4 or multinational environment is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong focus on efficiency, data quality and knowledge of AR/AP processes.
