Application Support Engineer II

About the role

Invesco is seeking an Application Support Engineer II to provide day‑to‑day support for its business applications. The role involves monitoring system health, troubleshooting incidents, and ensuring smooth operation of data pipelines across SQL Server, Oracle and Snowflake environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for business applications and resolve client issues promptly.
• Monitor application health, system performance, and batch processing activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and data‑related incidents.
• Support SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake platforms.
• Maintain ETL processes and automated workflows using tools such as SSIS.
• Participate in application upgrades, releases, testing and system enhancements.
• Maintain support documentation, runbooks and operational procedures.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate with business users, vendors and technical teams to ensure service excellence.
• Participate in on‑call and after‑hours support rotations as required.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in Application, Production or Data Support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and deliver high‑quality support.

Required skills

• SQL Server, Oracle and/or Snowflake.
• SQL querying and data analysis.
• SSIS or other ETL tools.
• Scheduling and monitoring tools such as Autosys, Control‑M or UAC.
• Python scripting and automation.
