Application Architect – High-Level Design (L1)

About the role

The Application Architect (L1) will design high‑level application architectures across modules and database layers, ensuring they meet functional requirements and integration guidelines. You will work closely with business analysts and development teams to translate needs into robust, scalable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements, coordinating with business and development teams to capture module‑level needs, data flows and integration expectations.
• Create high‑level architecture designs for applications and databases, adhering to established frameworks, patterns, protocols and API design standards.
• Assess and validate the feasibility of integrating new applications with existing systems, databases and infrastructure.
• Support application testing post‑deployment, troubleshooting issues and confirming functional behavior aligns with the architectural design.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in application architecture or related senior technical roles.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive design decisions.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and database concepts.

Required skills

• JAX‑RS (Java API for RESTful Web Services).
• Java programming language.
• Design and implementation of RESTful Web Services.
