Aircraft Performance Engineer

About the role

The Aircraft Performance Engineer will establish and maintain Airbus vehicle performance across regulatory and operational frameworks, from feasibility studies through development, certification and serial production. The role supports internal teams, external customers and suppliers by delivering accurate performance data and software tools.

Key responsibilities

• Define overall aircraft performance metrics for regulatory compliance and operational use during all project phases.
• Develop, validate and deliver performance software and data packages to Airbus marketing, operational support, design teams and equipment suppliers.
• Guarantee performance targets throughout development and serial production, and provide ongoing support during vehicle operation.
• Assist with performance optimisation during certification and in‑service phases, addressing any performance‑related issues.
• Monitor compliance risks and act with integrity to uphold Airbus reputation and sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Professional experience in aircraft performance engineering within the aerospace industry.
• Ability to work with regulatory frameworks and operational performance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to support performance optimisation and issue resolution.
