AI WordPress Developer

About the role

We are looking for an AI‑savvy WordPress Developer to build and customise modern websites. The ideal candidate combines strong front‑end expertise with basic back‑end knowledge and actively uses AI tools, especially Claude Code, to accelerate development and debugging.

Key responsibilities

• Build and customise WordPress sites using page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Beaver Builder.
• Focus on front‑end development: layout design, styling, responsiveness, and UI enhancements.
• Perform basic back‑end tasks when required, including PHP tweaks and MySQL queries.
• Leverage Claude Code for code generation, workflow automation, and debugging.
• Work across multiple CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace).
• Implement security measures using plugins like Wordfence, iThemes, CAPTCHA, and honeypots.
• Optimise site speed with WP Rocket, caching solutions, and CDN tools.
• Configure Mailgun/SMTP for email functionality.
• Apply SEO best practices using Yoast SEO or RankMath.
• Ensure all sites are fully responsive and mobile‑friendly.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience developing WordPress websites.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Basic understanding of MySQL, Git, and WordPress security.
• Experience with multiple CMS platforms.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
• Mandatory hands‑on experience with Claude Code for development and debugging.
