AI Application Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Application Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise‑grade AI solutions. You will work on AI‑powered applications, agents, and copilots that integrate with SAP and other business platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI‑driven applications, agents, and copilots across SAP and enterprise environments.
• Design and implement Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, vector search, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and micro‑services using modern development practices.
• Integrate AI solutions with SAP systems, ERP data sources, and other business applications.
• Ensure security, scalability, observability, performance, and production readiness of AI solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and architects to deliver end‑to‑end AI use cases.
• Implement responsible AI practices, governance controls, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or Java.
• Hands‑on experience with large language models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, etc.).
• Experience in Agentic AI, RAG, Prompt Engineering, and Function Calling.
• Knowledge of AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate, Qdrant, SAP HANA Cloud).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Experience with REST APIs, micro‑services, enterprise integrations, preferably SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, AI Governance, and AI Security & Compliance.
