Python Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend components for web applications and APIs. The role involves building robust, secure, and high‑performance services using Python and Django.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components using Python and Django for web applications and APIs.
• Build and enhance RESTful endpoints, ensuring correctness, security, and performance.
• Write clean, reusable, and well‑documented code aligned with engineering best practices.
• Create and maintain unit/integration tests; support bug fixing and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver features on time.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to refactoring efforts, and improve overall code quality.
• Monitor and optimize application performance, including database queries and request/response latency.
• Support CI/CD workflows and contribute to smooth deployments and release readiness.

Required profile

• BTech (or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in backend development using Python.
• Practical experience building applications with Django.
• Strong understanding of API development, debugging, and writing maintainable code.
• Familiarity with databases, ORM usage, and writing efficient queries.
• Experience with Django REST Framework and designing versioned, well‑structured APIs.
• Exposure to asynchronous/background processing (e.g., task queues) and performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and release best practices.
• Experience collaborating in Agile teams, contributing to estimations, and owning features end‑to‑end.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
