ADN Manager, Assurance

About the role

EY is hiring an ADN Manager for its GDS Assurance team in Bengaluru. The manager acts as the main point of contact for the global client serving assurance teams, ensuring the timeliness and quality of deliverables and managing day-to-day operations of the engagements. The role involves working virtually or directly with engagement teams across the Americas and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of engagements by leading a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors and Associates.
• Ensure timely, high-quality work according to EY methodology and engagement team expectations.
• Apply EY methodology to quality projects such as pre-issuance reviews, assurance quality reviews and efficiency projects.
• Build relationships with Assurance executives in the Americas and Europe and embed EY Risk Management procedures in the team's work.
• Help move new engagements and services to GDS Assurance while maintaining quality, and manage workflow, resource allocation and performance monitoring.
• Monitor team utilization, budget to actuals and other operational matters.
• Standardize assurance processes, encourage team growth, conduct performance reviews and provide training.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) with 5-6 years of post-qualification relevant experience, or Qualified ACCA/CPA with 7-8 years.
• Articleship with a top or mid-tier accounting firm, or experience in a mid- or top-tier firm focused on external or assurance reviews.
• MNC or large Indian company experience, preferably in a shared service environment; Big 4 firms (Indian and global practice) preferred.
• Excellent English communication and strong interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Indian accounting and assurance standards.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and international assurance standards is an added advantage.
• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is ideal.
