Senior Process and Controls Consultant - Risk Consulting, IA Capital Projects

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced professional in Process and Controls (Risk Consulting) for its Internal Audit and Capital Projects practice, based in Kochi, Kerala. The role supports client engagements in Risk Consulting, Internal Audit and GRC Consulting across the MENA region, working with clients in the Real Estate, Construction and Capital Projects sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned workstreams in client engagements and coordinate with the onsite team across the MENA region
• Perform end-to-end internal audit activities: process understanding, walkthroughs, risk and control matrices, audit work programs, control testing, finding documentation and draft reports
• Support reviews of EPC project delivery, governance, organizational design and delegation of authority frameworks
• Review capital project business cases, including assumptions, structure and feasibility
• Carry out audit procedures on engineering, planning and cost areas, including master planning, stage-gate methods and design maturity
• Apply cost-estimating principles, LPM build-up techniques, BoQ analysis and material take-offs
• Review procurement, contract and commercial practices, and project-control principles on schedule, cost, risk and reporting
• Analyze project plans, cost estimates and risk plans, and review resource plans and schedules against project objectives
• Identify process improvements and support business development, including proposals and marketing materials
• Guide junior team members and support engagement administration, budget monitoring and methodology development

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Internal Audit or Risk Management, preferably in Real Estate, Construction or Capital Projects
• Experience with audits involving cost estimation, engineering reviews, procurement or project controls
• Ability to interpret project documentation such as charters, schedules, cost plans and risk assessments
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally

Required skills

• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, data analysis and validation
• Strong analytical, organizational and consulting skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
