Accounts Payable Assistant Manager

About the role

The Accounts Payable (Procurement to Pay) Assistant Manager will lead a team responsible for end‑to‑end AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments and related financial activities. This role supports Genpact’s AI‑driven finance transformation and works closely with global clients on US‑based shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle AP activities, including invoice validation, posting, and payment execution.
• Handle escalations, make decisions, and resolve issues to meet service level agreements.
• Monitor and report SLA and KPI performance, ensuring adherence to targets.
• Identify training needs, deliver sessions with support from the global training team, and foster continuous learning.
• Manage a team of AP professionals, prioritising tasks to achieve timeliness and accuracy standards.
• Communicate daily with clients, participate in scheduled calls, and address delivery concerns with the Operations Manager.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policy guidelines, and transformation initiatives.
• Lead projects and drive schedule adherence for process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance or related field; Master’s in Finance is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
