Accounting Compliance Analyst – GB/G Competence Center

About the role

Join BASF’s new Global Hub in India as an Accounting Compliance Analyst within the GB/G Competence Center. You will support portfolio governance, monitor procurement performance, and drive process enhancements while collaborating with finance and HR teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of GR/IR and other P2P ledger accounts, ensuring timely completion.
• Generate monthly GR/IR reports based on inputs from controllers and business reporting.
• Assist with audit, internal control activities, and implementation of process improvements.
• Provide tax reporting support, including quality checks, 1099 and 1042 filings, and coordination with local tax teams.
• Execute “Complemento de pago” activities to ensure vendor compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate Go‑socket Colombia communications and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in finance functions, preferably with audit and reconciliation tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast‑paced global environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP AP R/3 or SAP HANA.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
