Accountant / Senior Accountant – GL / R2R (Finance & Accounting)

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Chennai. The role focuses on general ledger (GL) and record‑to‑report (R2R) processes, supporting both accounts payable and receivable functions during a night shift. The successful candidate will contribute to month‑end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day accounting activities
• Create and validate vendor master data, checking for duplicates
• Process and review accounts payable invoices
• Manage accounts receivable billing, cash application and reconciliation
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Verify income journals and validate PMS versus accounting data
• Conduct GL, sales tax and balance‑sheet reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and support month‑end close
• Assist senior accounting tasks based on experience level

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (2–3 years for Accountant, 3–5 years for Senior Accountant)
• Experience with day‑to‑day accounting, vendor management, AP/AR processing, and bank reconciliation
• Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM – 4:00 AM IST) on‑site in Chennai
