About the role
Barclays is seeking an Analyst to join its Finance team in Chennai. The role supports the bank's trading activities by ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing risk, and providing insights that drive strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain and analyse trading data, delivering performance insights to traders and senior colleagues.
- Prepare regulatory reports and support external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Communicate complex financial information to traders, risk professionals, and senior stakeholders.
Required profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong control awareness.
- Experience with audit functions in large financial institutions or banks.
- Ability to break down problems, drive continuous improvement, and work effectively in a global team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the MS Office toolkit.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities.
