Accountant – Remote support for Dubai office

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our India‑based team and provide remote accounting support for our Dubai office. The role involves managing client accounts, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping and accounting records for a portfolio of UAE‑based clients.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, ledgers and supporting schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank, supplier and customer reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare invoices, process payments, monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain necessary accounting records and documentation.
• Support the preparation and review of UAE VAT returns, corporate tax filings and other statutory requirements.
• Provide audit support by preparing schedules, reconciliations and required documentation.
• Communicate findings, recommendations and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within a remote team environment.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero or Tally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax and related compliance (preferred).
