Accountant

About the role

As an Accountant at Wesco, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper recording of transactions, and supporting the finance team with timely reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, profit and loss statements, and monthly closing reports.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with detailed supporting documentation.
• Maintain and coordinate accounting control procedures and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX standards.
• Analyze budgets, expenditures, and financial trends to support forecasting.
• Interact with business units, controllers, and auditors to resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain financial databases and accounting software systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional accounting experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience with general ledger and subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and financial reporting tools.
