About the role

Collegesathi, a fast‑growing higher‑education platform, is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to handle day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll‑related accounting, and ensuring compliance with Provident Fund (PF) regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping, including recording income, expenses, invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and periodic accounting reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Track employee‑related financial records, assist with payroll accounting, and manage basic PF calculations and compliance.
• Coordinate with management, vendors, and external parties on accounting matters.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documents.
• Ensure timely completion of accounting and compliance tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and statutory deductions, including PF.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
• Good organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally or Zoho Books.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
