Accountant II – Tax & Fixed Asset Specialist

About the role

OpenGov, a leader in AI‑driven ERP solutions for government, is expanding its India team. As an Accountant II you will own end‑to‑end direct and indirect tax compliance, manage the fixed‑asset register, and collaborate with the Site Controller, external consultants, and the US accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deposit monthly TDS, file quarterly eTDS returns, issue Forms 16A and clear TRACES defaults.
• File GSTR‑1 and GSTR‑3B on time, reconcile GSTR‑2B to books, and manage ITC ageing.
• Apply Rule 42/43 reversals, handle LUT filing, zero‑rated export treatment and RFD‑01 refunds.
• Prepare quarterly advance‑tax computations and supporting schedules for corporate returns and tax audits.
• Compile cross‑border payment documentation (TRC, Form 10F, Forms 15CA/15CB) and support treaty and transfer‑pricing inputs.
• Maintain the NetSuite fixed‑asset register under dual‑book configuration and run monthly depreciation for Indian GAAP and US GAAP.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent degree with 2–5 years post‑qualification experience in direct and indirect taxation.
• Hands‑on experience with TDS provisions (194 series, Section 195) and GST compliance (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑2B).
• Experience preparing schedules for tax and statutory audits and quarterly advance‑tax filings.
