33 KV Electrician – Substation Operations (Assam)

About the role

We are seeking experienced 33 KV Electricians to operate and maintain electrical substations and high‑tension (HT) equipment in Assam. The role involves ensuring reliable power supply through preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 33 KV substations, HT panels, transformers, VCBs and switchgear.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on all HT equipment.
• Carry out switching operations, isolation procedures and electrical troubleshooting.
• Monitor performance of transformers and panels to guarantee uninterrupted power.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical equipment, panels and distribution systems.
• Execute cable termination, earthing and testing activities.
• Maintain daily operation logs, maintenance records and inspection reports.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

Required profile

• ITI Electrician / Wireman Trade from a recognized institute (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in 33 KV substation operations and maintenance.
• Experience in industrial, utility, infrastructure, manufacturing or data‑center environments is preferred.
• Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with 33 KV substations and HT electrical systems.
• Knowledge of transformers, HT panels, VCBs, switchgear and protection systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
• Familiarity with testing instruments such as Megger, Multimeter and Clamp Meter.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding capabilities.
