Senior System Engineer - Application Owner

About the role

As a Senior System Engineer – Application Owner you will be the central point of contact for Windows‑based workplace applications used by BASF employees worldwide. You will join the Digital Hub in Hyderabad, collaborating with international teams to ensure stable, efficient and future‑ready services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and support users in the use of Windows workplace applications such as Adobe Acrobat and SAP GUI.
• Analyse major incidents and recurring issues, delivering sustainable long‑term solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Global License Management) and lead cross‑functional projects.
• Manage external service providers, ensuring high service quality and continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation by introducing new solutions and technologies in partnership with external vendors.
• Design, implement and optimise support processes, monitoring performance against SLAs.

Required profile

• Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently in a global, multicultural environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in managing complex application landscapes and service provider relationships.
