Engineering Manager – Products & Platforms

About the role

Redwood Software is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Products & Platforms team. You will lead a high‑performing group of engineers responsible for the core Workload Automation Platform that serves over 1,000 enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• People Leadership & Mentorship – manage, coach and grow a team of software engineers, conduct performance reviews and foster an inclusive culture.
• Technical Strategy & Architecture – provide hands‑on guidance, lead design reviews and define roadmaps for Java/Spring Boot microservices, ensuring security and observability.
• Delivery & Platform Ownership – oversee sprint planning, execution and delivery of resilient, scalable platform features and infrastructure.
• AI Integration – research and apply AI/ML concepts to enhance Managed File Transfer and Workload Automation capabilities such as intelligent routing and predictive maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of direct people‑management experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, OOP and design patterns.
• Extensive experience designing, deploying and operating complex solutions on AWS, including networking, security and cost optimization.
• Proven knowledge of distributed SaaS systems, micro‑services, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
