Senior Associate – Markets NFR Australia Rates & Credit

About the role

The Senior Associate Markets NFR Australia Rates & Credit role is a specialised non‑financial risk position within ANZ's Institutional division. You will provide deep subject‑matter expertise on rates and credit products, supporting risk identification, governance, and control improvements across the global business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary SME for non‑financial risk matters affecting the Rates & Credit business, offering expert advice and challenge on products, activities and controls.
• Support the global Rates & Credit team with risk identification, control uplift initiatives and governance enhancements.
• Provide specialist input for complex investigations, thematic reviews, assurance activities and risk events, including root‑cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Collaborate closely with the broader Markets NFR team and business stakeholders to strengthen risk culture and reporting.

Required profile

• Significant experience in non‑financial risk, preferably within markets, rates or credit domains.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data‑driven insights into practical risk solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of rates and credit products and associated risk frameworks.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and control design.
• Experience with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk management standards.
